Coaches,
I am writing to request your assistance in obtaining volunteers to help at the concession stand down at Legion Field. The League is in dire need of volunteers at the concession stand, as on a regular basis there is usually one to two consistent volunteers. In fact, these two volunteers have been known to log upwards of 8 hours on a weekend day to ensure that the Little League community has snacks available, and this does not include the hours they put in during the week.
The concession stand is a primary source of income for the League. The revenue allows the League to operate at the high level we are currently operating at, including supporting the lights, the irrigation system, the material to ensure the fields are well maintained, the upgrade of uniforms this year, and plans to build a new concession stand later this year. The volunteers and the revenue from the concession stand also keep prices down - where else can you get a hot dog for $1.
Please request the parents of the players' on your team to donate 2 hours at any time. Volunteers are needed on all days, except for Wednesdays. There is a calendar in the concession stand where anyone can sign up. Volunteers are needed for the concession stand and the grill.
