Play Ball Baseball Camp

Play Ball Baseball Camp is a camp run by Glenn Tufts and staff from the Giants Futures Baseball program. It's a great place for any player to learn, develop and enjoy baseball. The camp will run from 9am – 2pm on the week of July 11–15 right here at Legion Field in Bridgewater. The cost for the week is $300

Play Ball Camp is celebrating forty-two years

• Our philosophy with the camp is teach the fundamentals and hone baseball skills by doing. We believe each camper will achieve individual goals through playing the game. Each child will receive equal amount playing and receiving. Our camp is designed to provide individual instruction accentuated by baseball skill improvement.
• No camper will be out of place in our program, regardless of their ability level. Our goal is not to establish a standard for the youth to attain, but to encourage & enable him/her to reach his/her own potential level with our teaching and assistance.
• We realize each youngster will fall into a different ability level category, but each child will receive the same amount of time for playing and instruction regardless of his level.
• We will strive for certain individual goals for each youngster with our major objective being total participation and to have fun!

Camp Policies:

Rain Days

Lunch and Snack Bar
Campers are required to bring their lunch each day. Fruit punch drinks will be supplied at no extra charge. The snack bar is open daily with a variety of food and drinks such as hot dogs, sandwiches, and water.

Play Ball Camp:

For ages 7 through 16
This camp is designed for little league age players to enhance and develop skills through instruction and game play. Minimum one game played per day.

July 11-15 Monday–Friday 9am – 2pm. Cost is $300
All campers will receive a Play Ball Camp t-shirt and cap. T-shirts and caps may not be available for late registrants (orders are placed in early June). Additional caps and t-shirts are $10.00 each.

Rookie Camp

For ages 5 & 6
This camp is designed to get each youngster off to the right start in baseball fundamentals.

• Campers should begin arriving by 8:30 AM.
• Every morning we begin the day at the big diamond on Legion Field. Morning meeting with campers and parents.
• Lunch is every day from 12:00 -12:30. Campers may bring their own lunch or purchase sandwiches or hot dogs at the snack bar.
• Each camper will play at least one full game per day.
• Each camper will receive an instruction period per day.

Camp Staff

GLENN TUFTS - Director of Play Ball Camp and Giants Futures Travel Baseball Director
Glenn has been in professional baseball for his entire adult life and is a retired baseball scout for the San Francisco Giants Baseball Organization. He has been teaching young ball players the fundamentals of baseball through his Play Ball Camp at Legion Field for over 42 years.
As Director of Play Ball Camp, Glenn overseas the entire facility, creates curriculum, schedules instruction, and has complete knowledge and experience facilitating a program that thousands of children have enjoyed over the years.

Background checks including CORI and SORI have been performed on all staff members. The Play Ball Camp staff and guest appearances are pre-camp schedules, and due to full-time commitments, trades, and injuries are subject to change.
