While this is not a Memorial tournament, your Tournament Management team would be remiss if we didn't pay tribute to the two men whom our pool play brackets recognize.
The Stearns pool is named in honor of Bob Stearns. As a Bridgewater Little League volunteer for more than 40 years, he served in a variety of local league roles, including League President, before his election as District 7 Administrator. We consider Bob to be an amazing example of someone who gave selflessly of himself for the betterment of our Bridgewater baseball program. He is the very foundation in which our program is built.
The Simonds pool is named in honor of Charlie Simonds. Charlie’s career with the Town of Bridgewater was extensive. He retired in 2022 as Superintendent of Parks and Recreation after spending 26 years serving the community. From preparing the top-notch baseball, softball and football fields at Legion Field, to being a founding member of the golf commission, to building the Olde Scotland Links clubhouse, he was known for his unwavering dedication, commitment, leadership and hard work.
